Prerequisite

• To access this view, the CARGO_LOT_ID_SCAN_FORMAT_VIEW privilege must be assigned to your user role.

Cargo received at the terminal is identified with various labels like QR codes, 2D codes, barcodes, etc. These labels contain the shipper and commodity details. You must scan a QR code or Barcode to identify a cargo lot ID in N4 Mobile.

You can use the Cargo Lot Scan Id format view to define the scan format for the cargo lot ID. The cargo lot ID is extracted based on this format in the following screens in N4 Mobile:

• Load Vessel (MCRG016)

• Discharge Vessel (MCRG004)

• Strip Cargo (MCRG024)

• Stuff Cargo (MCRG002)

• Load Rail (MCRG008)

• Unload Rail (MCRG012)

• Inspect Cargo (MCRG029)

• Truck Load (MCRGLoadOnTruck)

• Truck Unload (MCRGUnLoadFromTruck)

• Identify Cargo (MCValidateIdentifiedCargo)

• Record Damages (MCRecordDamageCargo)

• Repair Damages (MCRepairDamageCargo)

• Cargo Move (MCSearchMoveCargo)

• Print Barcode (MCPrintBarcode)

You add, edit, or delete the Cargo Lot Scan Id format from this view.

You can use the Actions menu to order the records in the view based on the following:

• Insert Before (on page 1) - N4 inserts a new record with a sequence number which is an average of the sequence number of the selected record and the previous record. If the selected record is the first record, the record is inserted before the first record. For example, if you want to insert a record, before a record having sequence number 20 and if a record with the sequence number 10 exists before that, N4 inserts a new record with sequence number 15.

• Insert After (on page 1) - N4 inserts a new record with a sequence number that is an average of the sequence number of the selected record and the next record.

• Move Before - N4 allows you to move the selected record before the sequence number of the record specified in the Move To field in the Move Cargo lot ID Scan format form. The sequence number of this record will be the average of the selected record and the record previous to the selected record.

• Move After - N4 allows you to move the selected record between the sequence number of the record specified in the Move To field in the Move Cargo lot ID Scan format form and the next record. The sequence number of the moved record will be the average of both the records. For example, if you want to move a record after a record with sequence number 20 and the next available record has sequence 30, N4 inserts the record between the two records with sequence 25.

Whenever you insert a record before or after the current record in the Cargo Lot Id Scan Format view and if the decimals in the sequence number exceeds three digits, N4 updates the record and assigns the rounded value to all the records in the view.
